资源简介:
This dataset contains time series of ice motion from GNSS receivers placed on sea ice on either side of a lead (or where a lead was likely to develop) in Admiralty Inlet with a stationary GNSS base station. To add additional accuracy and precision a stationary GNSS base station was located nearby on the land. As leads form and expand in the spring in landfast ice, they can become locations of where ice can break-off, so ice motion data were collected to analyze how ice motion may change prior to break-off. This dataset was developed as part of a larger project to establish observational systems for weather, current, and sinaa (lead) monitoring to complement Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ; Inuit knowledge and ways of knowing) and support real-time decision making for safe spring ice travel in the communities of Ikpiarjuk (Arctic Bay) and Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet), Nunavut.
