This dataset contains the complete thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) raw data used in the study <i>“Improving Pyrogallol–Polyethyleneimine Flame-Resistant Coatings on Tree Bark via Low-Dose Phytic Acid.”</i> The data include weight loss and derivative weight (%/°C) profiles for cellulose nanofibers (CNFs), PG–PEI, and PA–PG–PEI coatings (0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% PA), as well as CNF composites with each coating formulation. Measurements were performed using an AUTO-TGA Q500 system (TA Instruments, USA) under ambient air from room temperature to 800 °C at a heating rate of 10 °C min⁻¹. The dataset provides temperature-dependent mass loss, decomposition onset, and residual char yield information for all samples, supporting the thermal stability and catalytic charring analyses discussed in the manuscript.
