Hedgehog signalling from the developing tooth directs the development of the adjacent vestibular lamina, coordinating tooth and vestibule formation

This Bulk RNA-seq transcriptomic datasets created from dissected oral tissue from E14 mouse embryonic lower jaws, comparing the forming vestibular lamina (structure that creates the oral vestibule) and the adjacent incisor tooth germ, which forms from the dental lamina. No previous transcriptomic data is available that specifically focuses on the vestibular lamina. This wildtype murine dataset therefore fills in a gap in existing knowledge and provides a wealth of molecular knowledge about this structure. The comparison to the adjacent incisor tooth allows for an understanding of the molecular signatures that define the vestibular and dental laminas and will be of interest to those working in the dental field.
