资源简介:
This collection consists of images from an archaeological watching brief by University of Leicester Archaeological Services. The work occurred at Everards Meadow, Soar Valley Way, December 2020 to February 2021. Most of the groundwork did not expose any archaeological remains however part of a stone wall was exposed in Area 1. This was covered by a subsoil containing pottery dated AD1700-1900. The purpose of the wall was unclear however it could relate to a post-medieval structure such as a barn. Geophysical work on the site identified a palaeochannel and this was confirmed during the excavation of the pond in Area 3. No other archaeological remains were found on the site.
