The aim of this study is to contribute to knowledge of what employers do in order to retain older employees and whether or not they hire older persons when employing new staff. The aim of the study is to provide insight into the attitudes towards retaining and recruiting older employees and what is standard practice. It is expected that this study will contribute to the debate on how to retain older employees. The study was financed by The National Labour Market Authority. The survey is part of a larger study on the subject which includes surveys at workplaces and among unemployed older persons.
