Small RNA profiles of healthy adult worker bees of the stingless bee Melipona quadrifasciata

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the microRNA (miRNA) repertoire of the Brazilian stingless bee Melipona quadrifasciata. By employing high-throughput small RNA sequencing, we aimed to identify conserved and novel miRNAs, understand their expression patterns in healthy adult bees, and provide a foundational resource for future research on gene regulation, development, and social behavior in this important pollinator species.
