The dataset mainly includes invention patent data related to high-impact polyvinyl chloride (PVC) reinforced pipes from the global patent database. It evaluates and classifies the patent data using proprietary algorithms, enabling users to conduct horizontal and vertical analyses of the changes and development trends of patent data, and facilitating the mastery of intellectual property work achievements in the field of high-impact PVC reinforced pipes. By comparing various patent data and analyzing technological development trends, it helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and prevents the technologies developed by enterprises from infringing others' intellectual property rights.
This dataset is based on the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) model combined with the entropy weight method. The target layer is patent value, and the index layer divides the patent value indicator system into five core value dimensions: market, technology, law, strategy, and economy, which are further subdivided into the criterion layer as detailed below:
- Technology value: IPC classification number, number of cited patents, number of citations, number of simple family patent applications, number of citations of simple families, authorization date
- Economic value: remaining validity period, number of transfers, number of licenses
- Legal value: application date, legal status
- Strategic value: number of inventors, number of patent families, number of citations
- Market value: IPC classification number, patent type
Based on the subjective assignment method of AHP, the data indicators required for patent evaluation are acquired via patent interface data. The 1-9 scaling method (where 1 represents the lowest score and 9 represents the highest) is adopted to calculate the corresponding indicator weights, which are then used to compute the scores of each individual indicator. The sum of all indicator scores yields the final patent score. Patents are categorized according to their score intervals: 80-100 as high-value patents, 60-80 as important patents, and below 60 as general patents. This dataset provides technical references and guidance for R&D personnel in this field, as well as evidence-based decision-making support for corporate R&D activities.
