Microbiome Profiling of an Anaerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) exposed to different Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs)

AGS was exposed to four different Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) separately, plus a positive control without PFASs, to observe their effects on acetoclastic methanogenesis: 1. Control; AGS not exposed to PFASs 2. Treatment 1; AGS exposed to 2,000 mg/L of 6:2 Fluorotelomer alcohol (6:2FTOH) for 96 hours 3. Treatment 2; AGS exposed to 2,000 mg/L of 8:2 Fluorotelomer alcohol (8:2FTOH) for 96 hours 4. Treatment 3; AGS exposed to 2,000 mg/L of Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) for 96 hours 5. Treatment 4; AGS exposed to 600 mg/L of Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) for 96 hours
