资源简介:
TAWAWA1 (TAW1) gene, isolated as a rice yield-related gene, is a member of the ALOG (Arabidopsis LSH1 and Oryza G1) gene family encoding putative transcriptional regulators. In grass species, ALOG family proteins are essential for specifying floral organ identity and the normal development of spikelet and inflorescence architecture. We identified a conserved non-coding sequence, TAW1-CNS, located on TAW1 downstream regions. To elucidate the function of TAW1-CNS, we produced genome-edited lines with deletions of TAW1-CNS using CRISPR-Cas9 system. We then compared panicle phenotypes and transcription patterns of TAW1 and TAW1-proximal genes in young panicles.
