Chile: military spending 2020-2023

In 2023, the government of Chile spent approximately 5.49 billion U.S. dollars on the military sector. This represents a considerable increase in comparison to the 4.65 billion dollars spent a year earlier. Chile has one of the highest military expenditures in relation to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Latin America.
