Molecular Analysis of Mouse HCC Tumors

Mouse liver tissue samples, including spontaneous hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs), chemically induced HCCs, as well as non-tumor controls are being used to study cancer development. The goal of this study to differentiate spontaneous from chemical-induced HCCs, and to understand the molecular mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis. We hypothesize that genetic and epigenetic pathways dysregulated in the B6C3F1/N mouse as a result of chronic chemical exposures may reflect changes present in human HCCs.
