This project reveals the antenna-transcriptome analysis of cowpea weevil, Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae), serious stored-products pest especially seed beans, to identify the chemosensory proteins such as odorant receptor, gustatory receptor, ionotropic receptor, sensory neuron membrane protein, odorant binding protein and chemosensory protein, concerning the pheromone and/or semiochemical perception for sustainable pest management and to understand evolutional aspect of chemical perseption. We collected the antennae from non-mated males and females maintained in laboratory colony, the antennae were stored -80 °C until use then extracted total RNA to make cDNA library. It was sequenced on the Illumina sequencing platform (Illumina HiSeq 2500).
