Water Resources Management It assists water resource management departments in adjusting the allocation and dispatch of water resources according to drought conditions; meanwhile, it can predict changes in reservoir water storage and guide the water release and storage strategies of reservoirs. Environmental Monitoring and Protection It is employed to monitor and assess land degradation and ecosystem health in forests, grasslands, wetlands and other areas caused by drought, and take corresponding protective measures to prevent further damage to the ecological environment brought by drought. This drought index is of great significance for precision agricultural irrigation management, vegetation health monitoring and other related scenarios.
