The goal of this study is to identify the genetic factors involved in the regulation of leaf senescence under the dark condition in Brassica rapa (B. rapa). Here, we selected two inbred lines (control; dark-induced leaf senescence-42, rapid senescence line; dark-induced leaf senescence-91). The libraries are generated from the RNA extracted from the 4th leaf (1-month-old) on 0, 1, and 4 days after dark treatment. The important genes identified from this data might be probable candidates for understanding dark-induced leaf senescence and also will be helpful for breeding excellent varieties of Chinese cabbage with long-shelf life.
