资源简介:
Current Study presents the experimental results of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with various longitudinal web opening configurations. The study investigates the performance of two types of beam sections\u2014Rectangular RC Beams and T-Shaped RC Beams, both with and without web openings, subjected to loading conditions. The main goal of the research is to evaluate how different web opening shapes and positions affect the structural behavior, particularly the stress distribution, cracking, and load-carrying capacity of RC beams. The dataset is organized into five main folders:00-CAD Designs of RC Beams: Contains the AutoCAD and structural design drawings for all beam specimens used in the study.01-Rect RC Beams Results after 28 Days: Experimental test results of rectangular RC beams tested after 28 days of curing.02-Rect RC Beams Results after 45 Days: Experimental data of the same rectangular beams tested after extended curing of 45 days.03-T Shape RC Beam after 28 Days: Results of T-shaped RC beams tested at the 28-day curing period.04-T Shape RC Beam after 45 Days: Data collected from the T-shaped beams after 45 days of curing. Each beam was tested for different loading conditions using a universal testing machine, and the stress was measured in both positive and negative directions. Both circular and square openings were introduced in the web region of the beams to evaluate their impact. The results show that beams with openings exhibited reduced stress capacity compared to solid beams, with circular openings generally causing more reduction than square ones. Additionally, beams tested after 45 days showed better strength and performance due to improved concrete maturity. The dataset includes load vs. stress results, crack pattern images, failure mode descriptions, and numerical stress values at multiple load increments (including interpolated 5 kN data). These results provide valuable insights into the structural behavior of RC beams with web perforations and can help engineers, researchers, and students to understand the performance limitations and design implications of such configurations. This dataset can be used for model calibration, FEA validation, training of ML models, or comparative analysis of RC beam designs with web openings. It also supports further exploration into cost-effective and structurally safe beam designs in civil engineering applications.
