Prediction of antimicrobial susceptibility of pneumococci based on whole genome sequencing data

A total of 130 unique Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates from the Belgian National Reference Center. These are part of the 517 sequences used to evaluate the performance of two online tools to predict antimicrobial susceptibility compared with phenotypic AST. Additionally, one quality control strain was included. The evaluated antibiotics were penicillin, amoxicillin, cefotaxime/ceftriaxone, erythromycin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and tetracycline.
