Cluster and galaxy interactions in dense environment: Shapley supercluster core

The Shapley Supercluster core hosts a remarkably dense structure showing threegalaxy clusters A3562 A3558, A3556 and two galaxy groups SC1327312,SC1329313 connected to each other by a filament of hot gas and galaxies. Acombined analysis of Xray and optical data will enable us to investigatethermodynamics of the ICM overcoming group and cluster interactions, andconstrain the influence of galaxyICM interactions in the global budget of theenvironmental effects affecting galaxy evolution. We will further search forXray emission from the hottest phase of the WHIM, by separating ICM andfilament emissions.
