The objective of the study was to determine the transportation needs of the Sydney Region to the year 2000, to propose a series of alternatives to meet these needs, to evaluate the costs and benefits of each, and to develop a plan that best satisfied the future needs of the Sydney area. 1971 is the base year for the study and the study area is approximately 1,500 square miles.
