Inferring biodiversity from indicator species using co-occurrence network structure

The first dataset consists of occurrence data for a bird community network from the Côte-Nord region of Québec, Canada (48–53°N, 65–71°W), based on presence–absence records collected during the breeding season between 2010 and 2018 as part of the Atlas of Breeding Birds of Québec. The second dataset comprises occurrence data for 146 beetle species sampled across northern sites in the study region using complementary trapping methods targeting both flying and ground-dwelling species. This independent beetle assemblage was used to externally validate the generality of the reconstruction framework.
