Red Book of Mammals in Portugal (part II)

Red Book of Mammals in Portugal (part II) is a publicly available data set with the compilation of two types of data: 1) published data (e.g. Bencatel et al. (2017), free and open access biodiversity data online platforms and unpublished geo-referenced occurrence shared by public institutions such as wildlife recovery centers, citizen and science and Natural museums); 2) data from field surveys carried out by teams from University of UTAD, Porto, Aveiro and Évora teams under the POSEUR project. This data set comprises 242289 records of terrestrial, volant and marine mammals in mainland Portugal and archipelagos of Azores and Madeira that went through a validation process by experts.
