Data and code necessary for reviewing methods and results for de Boer, Sikenykeny, Nyaguthii, Farine, & Klarevas-Irby, "Habitat selection during dispersal reduces the energetic cost of transport when making large displacements". Present files correspond to an unpublished manuscript and are subject to change based on peer review feedback.Input data are in the form of Excel spreadsheets, containing metadata on vulturine guineafowl dispersal events, and .tif files corresponding to rasters of habitat features.Output data are in the form of .Rdata files and contain all GPS data used in the present study (subset by temporal resolution, e.g. AllHLoRes.Rdata), and all prepared data objects created by the scripts herein that were used for plotting and statistical analyses, including the core step-selection model on which our results are based.<br><br>Scripts and analyses follow a numbered order, with scripts sharing a number capable of running in any order (e.g. "3_Get Big Days.R" builds on outputs from scripts "1_" and "2_", but the two scripts beginning "6_" are effectively independent of each other).
