Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Netherhampton Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, 2018-2019

This collection consists of images, reports, site record data, spreadsheets, a database and a vector graphic from an archaeological evaluation, via trial trenching, by Headland Archaeology. Work occurred on Land South of Netherhampton Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, from October 2018 to February 2019.The investigation revealed evidence of twelve ring-ditches dating between the early to later Bronze Age and representing the remains of former barrows. Large field ditches or land division of Bronze Age date were identified along with later agricultural land division and field parcels. Extensive evidence of medieval and post-medieval agricultural activity was also present in the form of ridge and furrow remains and field boundaries.
