In 1913 an artist on the staff of the Government Printing Office accompanied the Carnegie Expedition to Torres Straits to make coloured drawings from life. The plates eventually became part of the illustrations to Clark, H.L. The echinoderm fauna of Torres Strait (Carnegie Institute of Washington - Department of Marine Biology Publication vol. 10, 1921). There is a bound set of the finished plates in the Mitchell Library (593.9/E).(1/262-63). 2 boxes.
