Analiza finansowa ekonomicznej kondycji na przykładzie polskich instytucji/ Financial analysis of economic health – Polish entities case

The following paper presents an analysis of the financial condition of three Polish companies, operating in different markets. These are: a non-profit company, a financial institution and a trading enterprise from IT industry. The analysis was performed on the basis of data published by companies of 2009-2011. The work focuses on calculating and interpreting financial rates for the functioning and management in the four time categories: general, immediate, short term and medium term. These indicators are used in the final part of the paper to calculate the measure of Financial Health Index, which allows to objectively apprise the economic situation of analyzed companies. The model was developed by an American professor of finance John Zietlow.
