Segmented genome sequencing of Amnoonvirus from tiger puffer

Tiger pufferfish (Takifugu rubripes) aquaculture is affected by a viral disease called Kuchijirosho, which causes neurological symptoms and mortality. In this study, we performed metatranscriptomic analysis of brain tissue from infected fish, which enabled us to obtain the estimated full-length sequences of all eight viral genome segments. These genomic data contribute to understanding the molecular features of the virus and may support the development of diagnostic tools and disease management strategies in tiger pufferfish farming.
