SOLUTION: There is provided a carbon short fiber wet type nonwoven fabric produced by machining using a wet type paper machine， containing， per 1 cm 2， 3 or over of carbon short fiber bundles having a number of binding carbon short fibers of 5 or over， having a mean fiber length of the carbon short fibers of 1 mm or over and less than 50 mm and a content of a wet heat adhesive binder resin fibers of under 15 mass% and showing a tensile strength in the flow direction of 30 N/m or over and less than 5000 N/m.EFFECT: The invention provides a carbon short fiber wet type nonwoven fabric showing excellent molding fluidity on CFRP forming， and after the CFRP forming， having excellent strength and uniformity.
