The Autonomous Vertical Temperature Sensors 01 was deployed on 2010-10-07 at Main Endeavour Field. Main Endeavour Field is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Temperature Array. Temperature arrays are instruments that have multiple temperature sensors that are connected, but spatially distributed in a region of interest, such as the flanks of hydrothermal vents or around gas hydrate mounds.
