资源简介:
Rising emissions as well as energy demand have boosted interest in underground fluid storage, like CO2 and hydrogen. Deep aquifers and depleted reservoirs can sufficiently meet global demands. However, finding suitably safe sites with enough space is essential. This thesis tackles this in three steps. First, it identifies good sites based on rock properties. Second, it estimates how much fluid can be stored. Lastly, it assesses risks, including potential earthquakes. This approach helps pick the right sites, gauge storage capacity, and manage potential risks, making these storage projects more successful and safer.
