资源简介:
OMAP-20 was developed for cyclic multiplexed immunofluorescence (MxIF) microscopy of fresh frozen human kidney tissues
(Brewer et al. 2023). This panel includes 10 antibodies and the nuclear marker Hoechst for image alignment and
segmentation. It offers spatial context for key renal structures and cell types associated with proximal tubules,
glomeruli, and vasculature—components represented in the ASCT+B kidney table v1.4. Other functional tissue units of
the kidney, such as distal tubules or collecting ducts, are not captured in this OMAP. The antibody against tensin
(RRID: AB_10796111) is noted to perform optimally in cycle 1 of imaging, and placement in later cycles may lead to
reduced signal fidelity. Antibody validation and sample preparation protocols, including tissue handling and staining
workflows, are detailed by the VU Biomolecular Multimodal Imaging Center / Spraggins Research Group (2025).
Representative imaging datasets utilizing this OMAP are presented in the work by Esselman et al. (2024), which
integrates imaging mass spectrometry and MxIF microscopy to characterize glomerular substructures.

**Bibliography:**

* Brewer, Maya, Liz McDonough, Yuantee Zhu, Elizabeth Neumann, Danielle Gutierrez, Jeff Spraggins, and Mark De Caestecker. 2023. “Multiplex Cyclical Immunofluorescence on Fresh Frozen Tissue-V3.” September 8, 2023. https://www.protocols.io/view/multiplex-cyclical-immunofluorescence-on-fresh-fro-czsax6ae.
* Esselman, Allison B., Felipe A.
