Among vitamins, vitamin B12 content make tempe is one of the world's first meat analogs because vitamin B12 in general can be found in foods derived from animals1. It has been reported from screening vitamin B12 producing microorganism from tempe, Citrobacter freundii and Klebsiella pnueumoniae showed the best performance for producing it. Previous study using ERIC-PCR for genetic profiling showed that K. pnueumoniae from tempe have unique genomic profiles and were genetically different from isolates that pathogenic to human. The cost for whole genome sequencing (WGS) for bacterial genome recently reduced. This advances technology give opportunity to complete genetic profiling particular isolates bacteria in economic cost. This study proposed to WGS four K. pnuemonia that were genetically different with pathogenic isolate using ERIC-PCR from tempe produced in Bogor to explore in level whole genome characteristic between pathogenic dan non pathogenic isolates
