Number of victims of trafficking in persons sub-Saharan Africa 2018, by sub-region

As of 2018, victims of person trafficking in 20 selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa added up to 3,961. Out of this number, West Africa registered the highest count, at 2,893. Moreover, East and Southern Africa reached 664 and 404 victims, respectively. Overall, the people trafficked included men, women, boys, and girls.
