Roberts, T.W.A., 10 Richards R[oa]d, Municipal Airport, Kansas City, M[issouri]; operator's report - name: Joe, 2; 2 original photographs - at studio; incl[uding] neg[ative]s & models - Amount: 55.00; out of city 15 miles; 3 models @10.00" - on envelope. "Operator: Joe & Andy; Job: Cinema Casting, 6418 S[outh] [?]; Eileen Shepard; Joan Dix, models & luggage" - job card. Editor's note: a Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Archives report describes the airplane pictured here with its number clearly visible, NC17316, as having crashed in August of 1938 in New Mexico, and "damaged beyond repair." This was a Douglas DST or Douglas Sleeper Transport airplane.
