Deep sequencing of hepatitis C viral genomes for UK retreatment patients

Deep sequencing of hepatitis C viral genomes was performed for UK patients at three research sites. The patients were a "retreatment" cohort in the sense that they had failed to clear the virus after prior rounds of antiviral therapy, and were scheduled to receive further antiviral therapy. The sequencing project has a range of goals including an investigation into the relevance of resistance-associated substitutions within the viral genome.
