Investigation into the Mechanism by Which Salicylic Acid Enhances Biodegradation

This study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanisms of petroleum biodegradation using SA as a pathway inducer. The research objectives included: (i) to obtain strains capable of degradation capacity and chemotaxis to petroleum; (ii) to investigate the impact of salicylic acid-induced bioaugmentation; (iii) to analyze factors contributing to the biodegradation of PAHs under SA induction. This study provides theoretical support for the application of controllable inductor-enhanced microbial remediation in oil-contaminated soil.
