Single cell RNA-seq analysis for mouse activated melanocyte stem cells and mature melanocytes

We compared the transcriptomics of mouse melanocyte stem cells at the activation stage of the hair cycle (anagen onset) and mature melanocytes from the hair bulb by single cell RNAseq Activated melanocyte stem cells were isolated from anagen II hair follicles of the back skin of Dct-rtTA; tetO-H2B-GFP mice at 4 days after depilation, with cells from 4 independent mice combined for subsequent sequencing. Differentiated melanocytes were isolated from hair bulb of anagen VI hair follicles of the back skin of Dct-rtTA; tetO-H2B-GFP mice at 5 weeks old, with cells from 4 independent mice combined for subsequent sequencing.
