The area of Chr 13 encompassing the mouse Gv1 locus varies in its subspecies origin amongst inbreds. Within the C57-lineage, this region derives from Mus musculus musculus/molossinus, whereas in non-C57-lineage inbreds, it derives from M. m. domesticus. Here we use long read MinION sequencing of selected clones from the 129-based bMQ BAC library to determine the sequence of the area within non-C57-lineage strains.
