Response of soil microbiome to straw addition

Soil microorganisms play an essential role in nutrients cycling and climate regulation, contributing essential ecosystems functions. However, it remains unclear whether the response of the variable microbial community to environmental disturbance are consistent. In this study, we conducted a microcosm experiment to evaluate the response of the main components (bacteria, fungi and protist) of soil microbial food web to exogenous straw addition in two distinct land uses including maize land and woodland.
