Interaction between the biocontrol agent Lysobacter capsici AZ78 and the phytopathgenic oomycete Phytophthora infestans.

The main aim of this study was the investigation on the molecular mechanisms that are activated during the interaction between the bacterial biocontrol agent Lysobacter capsici AZ78 and the phytopathogenic oomycete Phytophthora infestans 11/10. The results will reveal what are the genes that are involved in the antagonism activity of bacterial strains belonging to L. capsici species. Furthermore, the study will allow to identify the genes that are activated by P. infestans to respond to the attack of biocontrol bacterial strains belonging to L. capsici species.
