Bacterial diversity from an in situ permafrost thaw experiment. soil metagenome

This dataset contains 16S V3 reads from an in situ permafrost thaw experiment (Storflaket, Abisko, Sweden; Johansson et al., 2013 Environ. Res. Lett). Reads come from three different depths (~50, ~75, >95cm) in both control and deep-thaw treatments (active layer depth ~60 and ~90 respectively). The goal is to look at how bacterial communities change in response to permafrost thaw, more specifically in the newly-thawed soil layer.
