资源简介:
This series comprises the minutes of the House Committee of the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital (VA 1254). The earliest minutes cover subjects including: accounts, medical reports, matron's reports, visiting committees, investigating committees, tenders and requisitions. The later minutes relate to the management of the physical aspects of the Hospital. This includes wards, nurses' quarters, lifts, students' quarters, signage and furniture. The House Committee met monthly and is believed to have been established in the early years of the Hospital; the General Committee refer to the House Committee for the first time on 6 September 1899 (VPRS 18812). The earliest existing minutes for this series however, is from 1915, and the whereabouts of the minutes before this date are unknown. After a report and recommendation from the Sub-Committee on Governance (VPRS 18823), in 1974 the House Committee was abolished and its functions were absorbed by the new Executive Committee (VPRS 18823). According to the General Committee series (VPRS 18812), the House Committee was reformed in 1975.
