ARAU

The ARAU dataset contains 25,440 unique subjective perceptual responses elicited by enhanced urban acoustic scenes serving as audio-visual stimuli. Each enhanced acoustic scene is created by digitally adding a 'masker' (birdsong, water, wind, traffic, construction, or silence) to urban acoustic scene recordings at a fixed acoustic scene-to-masker ratio. Participants were asked to rate each enhanced acoustic scene on pleasure, annoyance, eventfulness, non-eventfulness, vitality, monotony, chaos, calmness, and appropriateness in accordance with ISO 12913-2:2018, and to provide relevant statistical information and complete standardized psychological questionnaires.
