Crosscalibration with Chandra is important and best done on simultaneous observations of objects with smooth continua as the whole of the detectors are illuminated. The proposed observation is part of the Chandra effort to understand the significant buildup of ACIS contamination. A simultaneous observation will help both us and them. They are planning a single 30ks ACISS + LETG observation this time numbered 4416 in the Chandra longterm schedule.
