Economics of the U.S. Southeast Headboat Fleet - 2024

We matched and merged the collected headboat prices with the 2024 SRHS trip records and permit data, to generate basic descriptive and economic results for the Gulf and Atlantic headboat fleets in 2024. This report is an update and extension of a previous report that provided 2015 cost results but did not include any headboat prices (Carter and Liese 2017). In this report, we show how regional differences in vessel mix, trip profile, and operating environment shape economic outcomes.
