This research aims to conduct a comprehensive, multi-level investigation into the impact of low-temperature stress on the biomineralization process of the invasive golden mussel, Limnoperna fortunei. By integrating transcriptomic and metabolomic profiling with analyses of key enzyme contents and histological examinations via Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, the study seeks to elucidate the molecular, biochemical, and tissue-level adaptations that underpin shell formation and maintenance under cold conditions. The overarching goal is to decode the complex regulatory networks and physiological responses that enable this invasive species to tolerate or acclimate to lower temperatures, thereby providing critical mechanistic insights into its potential for range expansion and informing future management strategies.
