资源简介:
This dataset includes growth curves of a hydrocarbon-degrading bacterial strain - Shewanella indica str. Bead 36 - under various temperature and pressure conditions. For all growth curves, the strains were grown up in Marine Broth 2216 at 30oC (for 30oC growth curves) and 5oC (for 5oC growth curves). They were then diluted 1:100 in Marine Broth 2216 supplemented with 100 mM HEPEs (pH 7.5) and 100 mM NaNO3. These cultures were put into pressurizable plastic pipette bulbs, heat-sealed, and transferred to the corresponding pressure/temperature conditions. Eight temperature/pressure incubation conditions were used in total - 0.1, 10, 25, and 50 MPa at 5oC and 30oC. Growth under aerobic conditions (grown shaking in a flask) was also measured. At each time point, three bulbs were sacrificed from each incubation (for triplicate measurements), and the optical density at 600 nm wavelength (OD600) was taken.
