The effects of sucrose, aspartame, and nicotinamide ribose on the gut microbiota of immature C57 BL/6J mice

We simulated the scenario of mice continuously consuming nutritive and non-nutritive sweeteners through sugar-sweetened and sugar-free sweet beverages from weaning to adulthood, in order to observe the effects of sweeteners on intestinal microbiota in immature mice. Moreover, we treated immature mice with oral NR supplementation to explore whether NR could exert preventive and protective effects on intestinal microecology disorder caused by sweeteners.
