US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) VIIRS/NPP Gap-Filled Lunar BRDF-Adjusted Nighttime Lights Daily L3 Global 500m Linear Lat Lon Grid (VNP46A2)

Global daily measurements of nocturnal visible and near-infrared light, collected by Day-Night Band sensors in the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), are provided in this dataset at 500 m resolution. The ultra-sensitivity of the VIIRS sensors in lowlight conditions enables the generation of science-quality nighttime products that are suitable for Earth system science and applications due to substantial improvements in sensor resolution and calibration compared to the previous era products.
