资源简介:
The Fire Ecology Database is a database for fire ecology research and management. It provides a comprehensive resource for understanding the ecological impacts of fire on plant communitiesOne component of the database focuses on fire-related plant traits, other components expands on this by incorporating how species as a whole respond to fire events, including changes in population size and structure, and community properties following fire events. We applied this database to a case study for the flora of New South Wales, Australia.Quantification of fire-related traits encompass several levels of data abstraction scaling up from field observations of individual responses, to aggregated population responses and general categories of species responses. The database is designed to link trait data and event information at these levels using: concise and documented trait and method vocabularies; documented uncertainty in observations and aggregation; documented lineage of the records. This dataset includes:Trait definitions in YAML format (
trait-definitions.yml
)Field work definitions in YAML format (
fieldwork-definitions.yml
)A complete export of the database structure and data as a SQL dump (
firevegdb.sql
, compressed using bzip2).Version 1.1 of the database was created and populated using PostgreSQL version 16.4, and exported using pg_dump version 16.4.
