The effect of zooplankton on the distributions of dimethyl sulfide and dimethylsulfoniopropionate in the Bohai and Yellow Seas

We aim to study the effect of zooplankton on the distributions of dimethyl sulfide and dimethylsulfoniopropionate in the Bohai and Yellow Seas. Horizontal and vertical distributions of DMSP, DMSP lyase activity, DMS, and the abundances of bacteria, DMSP-consuming bacteria (DCB), DMSO-consuming bacteria and picophytoplankton in the Bohai Sea (BS) and Yellow Sea (YS) were investigated in autumn 2020. Bacterial community composition was conducted in February of 2021.

本研究旨在探究浮游动物对渤海与黄海中二甲基硫（dimethyl sulfide, DMS）及二甲基巯基丙酸内盐（dimethylsulfoniopropionate, DMSP）分布的影响。2020年秋季，我们针对渤海（BS）与黄海（YS）中的DMSP、DMSP裂解酶活性、DMS的水平与垂直分布，以及细菌、二甲基巯基丙酸内盐消耗菌（DMSP-consuming bacteria, DCB）、二甲基亚砜消耗菌和微微型浮游植物的丰度开展了调查。另于2021年2月完成了细菌群落组成的相关分析。
