The uploaded are the figures (involve data) shown in the paper titled "New Insights into the Correlation between Flash Rate and Size in Thunderstorms". This paper is submitting to GRL. The abstract is as follows:
The correspondence of the flash rate and size of the thunderstorms between the Tibetan Plateau (TP) and Central and Eastern China (CEC) and Southern Foothills of the Himalayas (SHF) is unlike the previously recommended reverse correspondence between flash rate and size when they are compared between thunderstorms with different dynamic intensity. We find that the size of the effective charge region (ECR) in the TP thunderstorms may be limited to be small by the generally low charge density and small thunderstorm extent resulting from the weakest convection among the three regions, therefore causing the common appearance of lower rate and smaller size of flash. The results suggest that the weak and strong convections both can generate small ECR, and then the small flash size; meanwhile, the reverse correspondence between flash frequency and size may be premised on that the convection intensity of the contrasted thunderstorms both exceed a certain threshold.
